Track signups in your analytics

The embed reports each signup to Umami or Plausible, and fires an event you can use yourself.

When someone joins through the embed, it:

  • fires a waitlark:joined event on the page, with the project and the placement;
  • sends a waitlark-joined event to Umami or Plausible, if one of them is on the page.
document.addEventListener('waitlark:joined', (e) => {
  console.log(e.detail.project, e.detail.placement);
});

The event never contains the email address or any answers.

Turn it off

Add analytics="off" to the form to skip Umami and Plausible. The waitlark:joined event on the page still fires.

<waitlark-form project="pk_yourproject" analytics="off"></waitlark-form>

With your own HTML form

Your own form sends visitors to your joined page, so you can count visits to that page as signups.
