Ask questions at signup and after
Add questions to the form, or ask them one by one after someone has joined.
A project can ask its own questions. For each question you choose when it's asked:
- At signup: on the form, next to the email field.
- After signup: in the welcome flow, one question per screen, after the visitor has joined. Shorter forms get more signups, so this is a good place for anything that isn't essential.
- Either: wherever your form puts it.
Kinds of questions
| Kind | What the visitor does |
|---|---|
| Short text | Types up to 200 characters (you can set up to 500). |
| Long text | Types up to 1,000 characters (you can set up to 4,000). |
| Web address | Types a URL. |
| One choice | Picks one option. |
| Several choices | Picks one or more options. |
| Vote | Picks the options they want most, such as features on your roadmap. |
Each question has a label per language and, for choices, a label for every option. Without a label the visitor sees the raw key, so add labels for every language your project uses.
The welcome flow
- Each answer is saved as soon as the visitor moves on. Closing the tab halfway loses nothing.
- Every question in the welcome flow has a skip button.
- Answers can be changed for seven days after signup. After that the link no longer accepts changes.
