Languages

How Waitlark picks the language for the form, the emails and the pages.

A project has one or more languages (English and Dutch today) and a default language. Waitlark picks the language for each visitor in this order:

  1. The language the form sends (lang), or the language of your page for the embed.
  2. The languages in the visitor's browser, in their order of preference.
  3. The project's default language.

That language is stored with the signup. The confirmation email, the welcome email, the confirmation page and the unsubscribe page all use it, also weeks later.

Your own texts

Every text has a default in each language. You can change any of them per project and per language: the button, the success message, the headline of the hosted page, the error messages. Texts you don't change keep the default.
